Standing Before God

Only the presence of God could stand before God. The High Priest could not go into the Holy of Holies without being totally sanctified and covered with righteousness. We have the mindset that those who have not received Jesus Christ will stand before God at the great white throne of judgment, and then be cast into eternal hell.
What does scripture say: John 5:22, "The Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son." Romans 8:38-39, "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Colossians 1:16-17, "For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: and he is before all things, and by him all things consist." 2 Peter 3:9, "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness: but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."
Take all these verses in the context of the ultimate love of a Father who has unconditional mercy and forgiveness. Consider also that He is eternal, He is light, and He is life. There is no limit of time when it comes to the things of God.
When we stand before God, who does God see? God can only be in the presence of Himself, perfect love. When He sees you He sees the body of His Son Jesus Christ, His perfect Son.
